Introducing Progress Reports for Inspections

June 3, 2025
Building solutions

Following the successful launch of our updated Progress Reports for Design and Soil Testing Services last year, we’re excited to announce a new initiative to further streamline our Inspection Services for builders: the STA Inspection Progress Report.

A new tool to help move your project forward

Several clients told us it would be helpful to have a similar progress report for inspection services. We listened and have developed a suitable solution accordingly to meet these needs.

The new Inspection Progress Report provides daily or weekly (depending on your preference) up-to-date information on how inspections are progressing — so site supervisors and operations teams can see exactly where things are at and what needs attention.

This report is designed to make it easier to stay on top of inspection progress, proactively resolve issues, and maintain momentum on your projects. This includes helping to keep your concreters accountable and deliver quality improvements.

What the Inspection Progress Report covers

Each report includes:

Inspection outcomes by concreter: Visibility into individual concreter performance and quality on your sites, including turnaround and inspections outcomes.

Timeframes to certification: Highlighting how long it’s taking to get required information from concreters before we can approve an inspection and issue certification.

Inspection dates and status: requested inspection dates and confirmation of completed inspections.

Blockages: A summary of current blockages preventing inspections; as well as detailed information for each blockage on what’s missing and how to fix it.

Detailed job tracking: A list of all active inspection orders, with status and history.

Daily updated: the report is updated and emailed on a daily basis.

Why it matters

Faster inspections mean faster project progression. By using the Inspection Progress Report:

  • You can keep your concreters and site team members more accountable for quality and timely provision of information.
  • You can keep track of issues and roadblocks, and resolve them sooner, avoiding unnecessary delays.
  • You can drive better on-site quality outcomes and certification timelines.
  • You can see when inspections have been requested, identify earlier when a change of date is needed, thus avoiding any disappointments or reinspection fees for a no-show.

How you can help

We’re committed to providing the best inspection service possible — and we need your help.

Firstly, we need you to use the Inspection Progress Report regularly to monitor your jobs, follow up with concreters when needed, and help move projects onto the next stage faster.

Secondly, we also welcome your feedback on the new report format, so we can continue to refine and improve it.
